Sunrise

Sunrise pictures taken by my sweet husband this morning. I have been up early a few times recently to enjoy these magical glowing moments as well. It’s my favorite time to read God’s Word.

How do we know what is God’s will? There are so many things we could do. So many directions our life could go. Do you ever feel at a crossroads? Mulling over this as I study 1 Thessalonians 4 & 5 – maybe His will for us is not ONE big life direction, but small things to put into practice every day. GOD’S WILL is for you to be holy (so stay away from all sexual sin) – chapter 4 verse 3. God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives – chapter 4 verse 7. Be thankful in all circumstances, for THIS IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU – chapter 5 verse 18. If I (you) belong to Christ Jesus, I (you) don’t have to wait or wonder what God’s will is for my (your) life! It says it right there in plain text: Be holy. Be thankful. This is a tall order. Are you wondering like I was, how to accomplish these next-to-impossible action steps? Read on! Then comes my FAVORITE part in verse 24 of chapter 5. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. You guys.

He who calls you is faithful. <3

He’s called us to this doing of His will. He who CALLS you, is faithful. We can trust that God will help us to live a more holy, more thankful life. He who calls you is FAITHFUL. It’s possible because of Who He is. HE who calls you is faithful. Does this apply to me? When God calls ME (you), he is faithful.

Am I doing what God wants me to do today? Am I being holy? Am I being thankful in all circumstances? It doesn’t instantly change one’s career or move you cross-country, but it does assure me that I can be living how God wants me to live; doing what He wants me to do.
