Pregnancy Update 34 weeks

Today is 34 weeks!!! Yesterday I had what will hopefully be my last check-up in Sioux Falls (2 hours away at the big hospital with NICU). The plan is to continue with my local midwife and have a home water birth after 37 weeks which is full term!

From my pregnancy app this morning:

“If you’ve been nervous about preterm labor, you’ll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.”

We are SO HAPPY and SO THANKFUL to God for giving us this many weeks with baby inside! He is 4# 8oz. now and we got to see his cute little face on the ultrasound again! He is pretty squished in there though! And a very exciting thing for me is I may (gradually) up my activity level now!!!

THANK YOU for all your prayers! Oh, and if you’d like to pray for my special request, I’d like him born between the 18th and 26th of July! 🙂 But we know God’s timing will be best!
