Patriotic Picnic & Parade

Our 2nd annual kid’s Patriotic Parade has come and gone!  What fun to see friends again, since Moms Group doesn’t meet during the summer months and everyone has full schedules making the most of the warm, long days!  {Photo credit for a lot of them: Amelia Sahlstrom – Thanks for getting some pictures for us!!!}

“Aunt” Alaina… she’s closer in age and looks more alike than his own sister, ha!  Too fun!  DSC_0227

So my camera totally didn’t focus for these next two, so we’ll just pretend I have a wacky filter on them.  Ugh. DSC_2844

…And then came Ole, passing everyone up for the second time as he did laps.  With this age… some didn’t quite get the idea of a line.  *ahem*  What a great farmyard we are blessed to live at!

Pigtails and a new frilly skirt.  I think this was the first time I ever bought her special clothing for an occasion. 🙂DSC_0194

Olaf’s friend Eli (his name is actually Thorvald V) has twin brothers.  Meet Soren & Bjorn.  {You wish you had double the fun come to your parties!!!} We’re rocking the Norwegian names around here!  DSC_0207

After everyone had gone home, Ole was very sad and asked, “Can we have more friends come over?!”  Love my little social guy! 😀

Climbing up to, and then walking across, this log is his latest skill.  And he is always, ALWAYS barefoot.  {Even to church sometimes, whoops.}image

Make plans to come for next year’s! 😉
