Outdoors, the Best Classroom
{This post has actually been written for a while, but my perfectionist self is not happy with the sizing of the pictures. Grrrrrr!!! But. I just need to post. it. anyway.}
Just do it. Step out your door into the greatest classroom given to man. {And moms and kids, and especially little boys!}
Enjoy the sunshine with a friend. Listen to the birds. Appreciate the budding trees.
Work outside with Dad.
Go exploring in the woods.
Play in the dirt.
Why do little boys like dirt so much? It’s how they were made… The Bible says the first male was created “…from the dust of the ground!” 😛
Sometimes being outside requires mom to get a little dirty too!
Have a play date with friends. {And southern-style sweet ice-tea for the mamas!}
The more I read and hear and learn about child development, the more this idea is reinforced. The idea that we need to get our children (and ourselves!) outdoors more in nature.
This is the blissful face of a child in his natural habitat; outdoors.
