Finding your Rhythm

We are home, for a week.  We have been gone 3 out of the last 4 weekends and after this week will be gone again!

The craziness of summer winding down and the start of school makes me feel like getting back into a routine, however loosely we may hold to it! 😉

When Ben was on the phone and asked me the same question for the umpteenth time, “What are you up to?” – for which the answer is “just changed a diaper, took the toddler potty, switched the load of laundry, started working in the kitchen, and now am feeding the crying baby” pretty much at any given hour he calls – I just couldn’t resist.  Now he has this handy-dandy reference sheet to hang in his service van so he can picture what we’re doing all day long!  When I sat down to write it out I realized how our days do fall into a predictable pattern, especially when home.  Lunch and naps is usually our marker that keeps us on track.  We put in bold everything that involves him. 🙂

You can see our favorite time of the day! 😀

This week we are going to try to catch up with a few friendships, work a bit more on the truck/trailer for our next trip (Ben), and start planning for Mom’s Group this year!  This afternoon I’m going grocery shopping.

What does your day’s rhythm look like?  Especially if you have toddlers or kids that aren’t school age yet, what is YOUR ‘back-to-school’ season routine?
